Persons accused of injuring police officers in Azerbaijani capital sentenced to pretrial detention

APA reports that by the decision of Yasamal district Court, accused Intigam Imanov, Aliagha Abbasov and Janahmad Nazarov were sentenced to 2-month pretrial detention. They were sent to Baku Detention Facility for custody.
Interior Ministry issued a statement on the incident. According to the statement, several employees of Interior Ministry’s Quick Police Regiment have faced acts of hooliganism by a group of young people in Inshaatchilar metro station, during non-service time on February 8 at 21.00. The young people resisted to police employees who tried to prevent their acts and invited them to discipline. Consequently, some of police officers were injured. Criminal case was launched under the Article 221.1 and 221.2.2 of Criminal Code. Three of them were detained on February 9. The measures for identifying and bringing other participants to responsibility are being continued.
