Human rights activist reveal shortcomings in detention facilities of police departments in Baku

Baku. Shahriyar Alizadeh – APA. Chairman of the Committee against Torture Elchin Behbudov, human right activists Suleiman Suleimanov and Elchin Shirinov conducted monitoring in the temporary detention facilities of Yasamal, Nizami and Narimanov district police departments, Elchin Behbudov told APA. According to him, all three detention facilities were supplied with heating system: “During the monitoring we paid attention to the heating systems due to cold weather. None of the above-mentioned detention facilities have a problem in connection with this. But, we revealed several shortcomings in the detention facilities, and I’ll address Interior Minister Ramil Usubov due to this problem.â€
