Heavy snow falls to Azerbaijanâ€™s Western region

Ganja. Aykhan Huseynov â€“ APA. Heavy precipitation is observed in Western region of Azerbaijan. APAâ€™s Western bureau reports that the heavy snow has been falling to Ganja city since yesterday. The thickness of snow cover in the city center is 15-20sm. The cityâ€™s main avenues and streets were cleaned by snow clearing cars, the sand and salt were splashed to the highways. Besides, the traffic movement to the suburban roads was limited. The problem is observed in electric power and gas supply to the city.

The heavy snow is observed in Gazakh, Agstafa, Tovuz, Shamkir, Goygol and Samukh regions. The thickness of snow cover in the city center is 10-20sm. No traffic problem is observed in the regions because the sand and salt were splashed to the roads. No problem occurred in electric power and gas supply to the above-mentioned regions.

Gedebey region Executive Body told APAâ€™s Western bureau that the frosty weather is observed in the region. Now the roads are being cleaned from snow, the now and sand were splashed to the roads.

Dashkesen region Emergency Situations Commission told APAâ€™s Western bureau that the heavy snow to the region was continuing falling. The thickness of snow cover is 10sm. The roads are cleaned, despite the frosty weather is continuing, the traffic movement on the roads complicated.
