Baku-APA. Israeli forces shot dead a Palestinian on the Gaza Strip’s eastern border with Israel Tuesday, Palestinian sources said, APA reports quoting Xinhua.
Medics evacuated the 22-year-old man from near the border. Adham Abu Selmia, a medical spokesman, said that the dead was hit with 10 bullets in his body.
An Israeli army spokesman said that the soldiers fired at the Palestinian after he approached the border.
Earlier Tuesday, a Palestinian militant died from wounds he sustained during an Israeli airstrike. The Israeli attacks came in response to rocket-fire by Palestinian militants.
Meanwhile, the Gaza ruling Hamas movement, said it wants to keep the situation calm and avoid security escalation with Israel.
