Azerbaijani ambassador to Japan: None of the Azerbaijanis living in Tokyo has been injured

Baku. Viktoria Dementyeva – APA. Our embassy has not received a report about the injury of Azerbaijanis in the quake in Japan, Azerbaijani ambassador to Japan Azer Huseyn told APA. He said that the embassy continues working normally and there is no threat for the building or employees of our embassy.
“If our citizens appeal, we are ready to help them. But we have not received an appeal. We have already contacted Azerbaijanis in Tokyo, none of them has been injured,” he said.

Ambassador said there are some problems in the telephone communication due to the natural disaster, mobile communication is completely out of order.
“All TV channels are broadcasting instructions to the citizens, tsunami threat has been announced. People are being evacuated from the coastal areas. Tsunami has reached some regions, but it is calm in Tokyo, there are no destructions,” he said.

Ambassador said about 50 Azerbaijanis live in Japan, the majority of them are in Tokyo.
