About 60 judges removed from the court system in Azerbaijan
Due the fulfillment of the duties entrusted by the president to improve the courts’ activity, the systematic events were held, as well as established new regional appeal and other courts, the new rules were applied for the formation of judge staff with the most transparent and objective procedures, the judge staff were increased to twice in order to decrease the load of work as well as 60 judges who infringed the law and made the other negative cases were removed from judicial system.
The important events were carried out for the regional grave crime, administrative-economic and military courts to come into operation as well as the staff number of the judges and the structure of court offices were determined, and were allocated the new administrative buildings. According to the president’s orders these courts were completed involving skilful judges and 12 new regional courts were opened.
As a result of assessment of the judge’s activity 8 judges were nominated for Supreme Court, 34 judges fro appeal court, and 18 judges were removed from the office.
Process of selection of judges has been continued successfully in 2010 as well. 78 persons were appointed as judges under the order of the President.
Within the framework of the events realized for improvement of court activity, gross error and law infringements committed by judges were kept on the focus of attention, 21 judges were involved in discipline responsibility, as well as 3 judges were dismissed, 3 were replaced and different reprimands and other discipline reproofs were given within the last year.
Duties for increase of effectiveness of justice court were noted, extra events on increase of productivity of activity were discussed in the meeting. Moreover, decision was passed on dismissal of Imishli Region Court’s judge – Gubadali Rzayev, because of repeatedly violation of legislation’s demands and committing other negative cases. Disciplinary proceedings were started on judges connected with violation of human rights, procrastination and other law infringements.
