Bakhtiyar Hajiyev released

Baku. Parvin Abbasov â€“ APA. Former candidate for the parliamentary elections Bakhtiyar Hajiyev who was interrogated in Ganja city Prosecutorâ€™s Office has been released. He told APA. Hajiyev said that he was released in condition of not leaving Ganja and to be in Prosecutorâ€™s Office on January 26 at 11.00: â€œThe interrogation will be continued at 11.00â€.

Hajiyev said that the criminal case was launched on him on Criminal Codeâ€™s article #321.1 (Evasion without the lawful grounds from next appeal on military service or from an appeal on mobilization).

According to him, the right of deferment of military service must be given to him because of his education in Georgiaâ€™s Ilya University: â€œOr according to Azerbaijani Constitution, I must be offered all necessary facilities for alternative service. I was said at the Prosecutorâ€™s Office that Azerbaijan does not have such mechanism. Basing on the Constitution I said again that this is not my fault, I will serve when this mechanism is formedâ€.
