Criminal investigation launched against officials of Sheki City culture and tourism department

Baku. Hafiz Heydarov â€“ APA. The Audit Chamber of Azerbaijan found out the facts of abuse of office, falsification of the documents and other illegal activities during the audit inspection at the culture and tourism department of Sheki City. They are accused in misappropriation of 1.481.840 AZN of public resources, press service of the Prosecutor Generalâ€™s Office told APA. The Prosecutorâ€™s Office launched a criminal investigation against some officials of the culture and tourism department of Sheki City under the articles 179.3.2, 308.2 and 313 of the Criminal Code of Azerbaijan investigating the facts of abuse of office, falsification of the documents, misappropriation and waste of the public resources and property.

The investigation is conducted by the anti-corruption office under the prosecutor General.
