Regional integration and digitalization are creating new economic opportunities for young people, said Idrissa Dia, Director of the Economic and Social Infrastructure Department of the Islamic Development Bank (IsDB), during the session titled “Youth Without Borders: A Driving Force for Shared Regional Prosperity” held as part of the IsDB Annual Meetings in Baku, APA-Economics reports.
According to him, cross-border trade expands markets for young entrepreneurs, while labor mobility enables them to work where opportunities exist: "Advanced digital infrastructure allows a young person living in Baku to provide services to clients in Almaty, Dhaka or Dakar.”
He also noted that Azerbaijan’s strategic projects such as the Middle Corridor, the Port of Baku and the Baku-Tbilisi-Kars railway make a significant contribution to strengthening regional connectivity and creating new opportunities for young people.
