Araqchi said that the Iranian side raised this issue at the meetings with Azerbaijani officials: “We were told that the closure of the office in Azerbaijan was due to the fact that Azerbaijan has achieved economic development, therefore the activities of foreign charitable organizations in the country are not necessary.”
Araqchi said currently, official Tehran is holding talks with Azerbaijani officials: “We are trying to find new ways for reopening of the office of Imam Khomeini Imdad Committee in Azerbaijan.”
