Lombardi noted that being the most developed country of the South Caucasus, Azerbaijan has taken its place among the world countries and Switzerland is interested in the comprehensive development of relations with such a developed country: “We will do our best to raise the relations between the two countries to the level of strategic partnership."
Asadov said that despite the global financial crisis, Swiss businessmen are confidently investing in the Azerbaijani economy and about 70 Swiss companies are operating in our country today. The Speaker gave detailed information about the status quo in the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict which is a serious obstacle to the development of the region and a threat to the security of region, including Europe.
