Palestinian Foreign Minister: "The demographic composition of Al-Quds is changing"

APA reports that Al-Maliki expressed his gratitude to Azerbaijan and OIC Secretary General Ekmeleddin Ihsanoglu for the organization of conference.

The Minister said that Al-Quds is facing problems arisen from Israel’s occupation: “Destruction of homes, deprivation of the Palestinians of the right to property and change of the city’s demographic composition are going on.”

Al-Maliki said that they appealed to the UNESCO to investigate Israel’s actions: “Al-Quds has been occupied and is under the illegal control of Israel. It is contrary to the international law. The international community also considers illegal the resettlement in the part of the city belonging to the Palestinians.”

The Minister said that political and individual support is not enough to resolve the problem, thus the Palestinian side urges to adopt strategic plan on the development of the city: “Time passes, Al-Quds is calling you, don’t leave it alone."
