The session will be held as the OSCE PA’s interest in Turkey has increased. According to the press service of the organization, the recent processes in Turkey are being followed. The session will focus on the protection of fundamental freedoms, including freedom of internet, the negative consequences of austerity measures, the release of political prisoners in OSCE region, military transparency and the ratification of the UN agreement on arms sale.
Representatives will exchange views on Belarus-related declaration, border security, fight against discrimination, cyber security, energy efficiency, the human rights situation in Russia, Guantanamo’s issue, OSCE reforms, Transnistria conflict and Palestine’s OSCE membership.
At the General Committee on political affairs and security, member of the Lithuanian Seimas Vilija AleknaitÄ—-AbramikienÄ— will present a report on the protracted conflicts in OSCE arena.
