The OSCE should increase its role in the settlement of conflicts. In this sphere, activity of the OSCE local offices also should be increased”, said the OSCE Chairman-in-Office and President of the Swiss Confederation Didier Burkhalter.
Didier Burkhalter noted that in order to strengthen the OSCE, principles of the Helsinki Final Act should be fulfilled. He stressed he supports the activity of the European Union for signing association agreement with Ukraine, Georgia and Moldova: “We have to achieve security of the future generation. Therefore, we should to prevent separation of the West and the East”.
