Iran's Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) has claimed it carried out missile and drone strikes on the King Faisal and Prince Hassan military bases in Jordan, APA's Tehran bureau reports.
According to a statement released by the IRGC, one of the F-15 fighter jet preparation hangars was hit during the attack. It also claimed that a strike on a hangar used for preparing unmanned aerial vehicles completely destroyed eight newly delivered MQ-9 drones that were still in packaging, while two more MQ-9 drones located in an open area sustained serious damage.
The IRGC said that in a subsequent attack, a helicopter hangar at the base was targeted, causing serious damage to two heavy US military helicopters.
According to the statement, a later strike targeted the residential area where military personnel were stationed at the base, resulting in deaths and injuries.
