Individuals placed on the international wanted list at the request of the Prosecutor General's Office have been extradited to Azerbaijan, APA reports.
According to the Prosecutor General's Office, in accordance with the Convention of October 7, 2002, on Legal Assistance and Legal Relations in Civil, Family and Criminal Matters, the Prosecutor General's Office of the Russian Federation granted the requests for the extradition of Azerbaijani citizens Emil Faiq Kazimov, Jabbar Mammadraza Mammadov, Habil Huseyn Aliyev, Fuad Ilgar Babayev, and Kenan Ali Guliyev.
Emil Kazimov is suspected of fraud causing large-scale damage, Jabbar Mammadov of repeated fraud, Habil Aliyev of theft committed by a group of persons with prior collusion involving unlawful entry into a storage facility, while Fuad Babayev and Kenan Guliyev are suspected of hooliganism committed by a group of persons involving the use of weapons or objects used as weapons and accompanied by violence against the victim. Decisions were issued to charge them as accused persons, and they were declared wanted after absconding from the investigation.
The suspects were detained in the territory of the Russian Federation and brought to Azerbaijan under the escort of a special convoy of the Penitentiary Service of the Ministry of Justice.
