Ilham Aliyev: â€œShah Deniz consortium will fully change the energy map of Europeâ€

President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev said this at the joint press conference with President of the European Council Herman Van Rompuy, APA’s Europe correspondent reports from Brussels. The President said that very positive changes in the energy sphere are being observed after his previous visit to Brussels. The Head of State noted that TANAP project will create additional opportunities for the successful implementation of the Southern Gas Corridor project.

Ilham Aliyev said the delivery of Azerbaijan’s gas to Europe will favour both sides.

“Azerbaijan will find energy markets, to which it can deliver its gas and Europe will gain alternative source of energy from Azerbaijan for a long term,” he said.

President underlined that cooperation between Azerbaijan and the European Union will be continued.

“You see that these relations are on good level and we can make efforts to make them perfect,” he said.
