He noted that Ukraine has never been an aggressor state, hasn’t declared war and claimed lands in other countries: “We are a peace-loving country. Despite all these, we unequivocally support any peaceful proposal of Russia.”
The Ukrainian official touched on the association agreement signed with the Europe Union and said that Ukrainian relations with Russia must not be undermined and economic impact should be avoided: “We know that this agreement will affect the Ukrainian economy, but this is a political decision and the will of the people.”
Deputy Head of the delegation Mykola Katerynchuk noted that the human rights are flagrantly violated in the battlefields of Ukraine: “Crimea will remain as a subject in the political, economic and social activities of Ukraine. We will not give up the restoration of the territorial integrity, Crimea is the Ukrainian territory”.
