He said that Azerbaijan is an important partner for Europe, given its geo-strategic situation and its cultural heritage as a ‘bridge’ between East and West: “We appreciate that by joining the Council of Europe, European Neighbourhood Policy and the Eastern Partnership, Azerbaijan has committed itself to shared European values. Through the Eastern Partnership, Azerbaijan can become part of a common area of stability and prosperity.”
