Baku – APA. Foreign Minister Elmar Mammadyarov received newly appointed Ambassador of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia Musaid bin Ibrahim es-Suleim on June 13.
The Foreign Ministry told APA that Minister Mammadyarov congratulated the Ambassador of Saudi Arabia on being appointed to Azerbaijan and noted with satisfaction the development of bilateral relationship. Minister noted that the two countries enjoy high level political dialogue, cooperate fruitfully in the frame of international organisations and there is a need for the advancement of bilateral cooperation across other areas such as trade, tourism and economic cooperation. Minister also added that strengthening legal basis and intensification of mutual visits would further contribute to the bilateral ties.
Ambassador Musaid bin Ibrahim es-Suleim thanked for warm welcome and noted his satisfaction for being appointed as Ambassador to Azerbaijan. He said that Saudi Arabia is keen to enhance cooperation with friendly and brotherly Azerbaijan and that he will make his best efforts to take bilateral cooperation further ahead during his tenure.
