Ekmeleddin Ihsanoglu: â€œThe Islamic countries have demonstrated unity on the Palestine issue in the international arenaâ€

Ihsanoglu said that the Palestinian people have the right to a decent life and it is necessary to stop the military occupation of Al-Quds, at the same time develop the infrastructure of this holy city and improve the living standards of its residents: “Israel restricts the Palestinians’ opportunities in a number of fields. There are serious problems in education and Palestinian children can not get good education due to the lack of educational institutions. Palestinians need a special permission license for the construction of houses in Al-Quds, therefore the residents are suffering from the lack of houses. Thousands of Palestinians are facing this problem, the Israeli side gives them only 400 licenses.”

The OIC Secretary General considered the proposed aid package optimal: “This assistance will enable constructing new schools and hospitals for the Palestinian children next year.”
