Baku. Ramiz Mikayiloglu - APA. Deputy Head of the Presidential Administration of Azerbaijan, Director of the Administration's Foreign Relations Department Novruz Mammadov has commented on the calls by some circles in the West to impose sanctions against Azerbaijan, APA reports.

According to Mammadov, these talks are the form of pressure on Azerbaijan. In what form can we be subjected to sanctions? The threat of imposing sanctions against us and talks regarding it aim to put pressure on Azerbaijan. Azerbaijan plans to implement an ambitious project such as the Southern Gas Corridor project for which more than $ 45 billion will be invested in and which is of interest to the U.S. and Europe. Europe has discussed Nabucco project with us for 10 years. However, afterwards it decided this project shouldn’t be implemented. Where is the responsibility? Therefore, there is no concern for us in this regard”, he said.
