Azerbaijani Parliament Speaker: â€œThe European Parliament has no right to dictate anything to Azerbaijanâ€

He said that whenever Azerbaijan achieves success, the European Parliament adopts a resolution against the country: “Today Azerbaijan has a very constructive cooperation with the European Union. Cooperation Committee has been established between the European Parliament and Azerbaijani Parliament for the first time. Azerbaijan has become an active member of the Euronest Parliamentary Assembly. The aim was to develop cooperation between the European Parliament and Azerbaijani Parliament. However, the issue is put up for discussion at the European Parliament without having been discussed at the Cooperation Committee and the Euronest Parliamentary Assembly. I was in Brussels when the draft resolution was being considered. Unfortunately, members of friendship group with Azerbaijan did not participate there. The aim of the European Parliament is to exert pressure on Azerbaijan.”
