Ambassador: Charlie Hebdo attack does not represent Muslim people

“Criminality like this could be committed by Muslims, by Christians, by Jews, by Buddhists; this does not represent a religion because all religions, especially Islam have noble principles. Definitely an act like this will have deprecations, people get mixed up when they see Muslims have done that atrocities, attacks against civilians and journalist. I am sure political leaders in Europe would work for unity of different societies,” the ambassador noted.

The diplomat expressed his hope that European leaders will not give a chance to spread the ideology of hate against Muslim in Europe:

“Definitely extremists, right wing forces calling for that. These forces should not be given a chance to spread their ideology within Europe. Here once again I speak about the responsibility of the leaders not to allow the extremists, right wing forces and racists to take the initiative and hijack the social discourse between different sectors of society in Europe. I am sure the general public with guidance of political leadership will sort it out,” he added.
