U.S. Ambassador: "Azerbaijan plays an important role on regional and global scale"

U.S. Ambassador to Azerbaijan Richard Morningstar noted, that today United States are celebrating 237^th anniversary of U.S. Independence. The Ambassador informed the guests about the history of the independence of the United States.

Morningstar also speak about bilateral relations between the U.S. and Azerbaijan.

He noted that despite the fact that Azerbaijan gained independence a little time ago, the country has achieved important progress. "Azerbaijan is an independent state, that plays an important role on regional and global scale. Could anyone imagine 25 years ago that Azerbaijan will become a non-permanent member of the UN Security Council, the United States and Azerbaijan soldiers will be on duty shoulder to shoulder, or Azerbaijan will provide energy security to Europe?" said the Ambassador.
