Next round of political consultations held between Azerbaijani and Belarusian Foreign Ministries

On August 28, Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Azerbaijan Samir Sharifov paid a visit to the Republic of Belarus, APA reports.

As part of the visit, the Deputy Minister was received by Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Belarus Maxim Ryzhenkov.

During the meeting, issues arising from the strategic partnership relations between the two states were discussed. The role of the leaders of the two countries in the development of strategic partnership relations based on friendly ties between Azerbaijan and Belarus was particularly emphasized.

Later, the next round of political consultations between the Ministries of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Azerbaijan and the Republic of Belarus was held. The political consultations were chaired by Deputy Minister Samir Sharifov on the Azerbaijani side and Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs Pavel Utyupin on the Belarusian side.

During the consultations, the positive dynamics of the bilateral political dialogue were emphasized, and the important role of the Intergovernmental Commission and the political consultation mechanism was noted.

At the same time, the status of implementation of the agreements reached, as well as the current state and prospects of cooperation in trade and economy, energy, agriculture, humanitarian and other areas of mutual interest, were discussed.

In addition, issues of interaction within the framework of regional and international organizations were considered.

During the consultations, the sides also exchanged views on other bilateral and regional issues of mutual interest.
