The death toll from landslides and flooding on the Nepal-China border has risen to 538, BBC reports, citing Nepal’s state authorities.
According to the information, 977 people, including 517 foreign nationals, are missing. More than 100 foreign nationals have reportedly been rescued.
Chinese media report that five people have died as a result of the natural disaster in the country.
A dam located on Nepal’s border with China’s Tibet region has collapsed.
