Pezeshkian tells Qatar PM Iran will not bow to US pressure

Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian, in a meeting with Qatar’s Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulrahman Al Thani on Thursday, said Tehran would not bow down to US pressure but added that the Islamic Republic does not seek war, APA's Tehran bureau reports.

“The Americans unfairly targeted Iran’s leader, commanders, students and people,” Pezeshkian said, adding that such actions were unacceptable under international law.

“Iran has not sought war, does not seek war and will not seek war, but it will not submit to bullying either,” he said.

Pezeshkian said the United States and other parties should recognize what he described as Iran’s legal rights.

“The other parties must recognize all the rights of the Iranian people in every field and within the framework of international law,” he said. “The Islamic Republic of Iran wants nothing beyond its legal rights.”
