He said cases of terrorism, drugs and arms smuggling, religious extremism have increased in the world: "This is an urgent problem of the CIS countries, too. The CIS is combating such negative facts in cooperation with other international organizations. Heads of CIS member states have adopted a number of decisions in support of the international counterterrorism. However, legal base should be established and legislation in this field strengthened. I hope that the conference in Baku will be a step forward in counterterrorism.”
