The Azerbaijani Embassy in Georgia organized an event dedicated to November 8 – Victory Day in Tbilisi, APA's local bureau reports.

The ceremony, held at the Vakhtang Salaridze Concert Hall, was attended by Turkish Ambassador Mustafa Türker Arı, Turkmen Ambassador Döwletmyrat Seýitmämmedow, Kazakh Ambassador Talgat Aduov, CEO of SOCAR Energy Georgia Mahir Mammadov, members of the Georgian Parliament Zaur Dargalli and Savalan Mirzoyev, representatives of the Azerbaijani community, Muslim religious figures, and relatives of martyrs of Georgian origin.

The national anthems of Azerbaijan and Georgia were performed first, followed by the screening of a video dedicated to Victory Day.

The cherished memory of the martyrs was then honored with a minute of silence.

Azerbaijani Ambassador to Georgia Faig Guliyev delivered an opening speech, stating that one of the most glorious pages in the country's history was written six years ago. He noted that historical justice and national pride were restored through the unparalleled victory achieved by the Azerbaijani Army under the decisive and principled leadership of Victorious Commander-in-Chief Ilham Aliyev.

The ambassador pointed out that extensive reconstruction and development work is underway in the liberated territories of Karabakh and Eastern Zangezur, and that former internally displaced persons are returning to their ancestral lands.

Faig Guliyev highly appreciated the solidarity shown by Azerbaijanis living in Georgia during the war and their campaigns in support of the Azerbaijani Army, once again expressing his gratitude to his compatriots.

Turkish Ambassador Mustafa Türker Arı also delivered a speech, extending his congratulations on Victory Day, honoring the memory of the martyrs, and wishing recovery to the war veterans.

At the end of the event, the premiere of the play "Coordinate 44," prepared by Era Theatre at the initiative of the embassy and with the support of the Union of Azerbaijani Businessmen in Georgia (AZEBI), took place.
