APA’s special correspondent reports from Helsinki that there was place for the principles of aggressive nationalism, armed separatism and disintegration in the South Caucasus.
“Because these principles contradict democracy, rule of law and human rights,” the statement says.
The statement underlines that GUAM countries expressed unique position.
“As regards the conflicts, I want to mention that a special decision was made in Kiev summit of GUAM in 2006. Establishment of institutions declaring their independence as a result of the occupation of territories can by no means be accepted from legal point of view,” the statement says.
The statement underscores that GUAM member states suffer from the frozen conflicts and the existence of these conflicts is regarded as a factor impeding process of integration inside the union.
