US government can assist Azerbaijan in restoration of monuments in the occupied territories

US government is planning to carry out several projects for restoration of monuments together with the Ministry of Culture and Tourism of Azerbaijan, said Alina Romanowski, US Deputy Assistant Secretary of State Office of Professional and Cultural Exchanges Bureau of Educational and Cultural Affairs, APA reports.
Speaking about destruction of Azerbaijani monuments in Nagorno Karabakh, Romanowski said US government could assist Azerbaijan in restoration of those monuments. â€œMonuments in Nagorno Karabakh have a history of several centuries. We try to assist in restoration of those monuments as a part of these projects. It is indication of US estimation of world cultural and historic heritage. In our turn, we try to fulfill tasks given us by the US Congress and to increase efforts for protection and restoration of the different historic monumentsâ€.

Romanowski said they considered to invite various singers and musicians to Azerbaijan in future and also to develop co-operation in theater and other fields of the culture. American experts expected to give master-classes in Azerbaijan as a part of this co-operation. The US official said she was hopeful for realization of these projects in Azerbaijan.
