US State Department official: “The Baku conference put the necessity of establishing of the intercultural dialogue on agenda”

Baku. Victoria Dementyeva –APA. “It is very pleasant to come to Azerbaijan and to attend the conference dedicated to the intercultural dialogue as a spectator”, Alina Romanowski, US Deputy Assistant Secretary of State Office of Professional and Cultural Exchanges Bureau of Educational and Cultural Affairs, told APA exclusively. She said the United States and Azerbaijan were carrying out very rich student and specialist exchange program. “One of the goals of my visit to Azerbaijan is to meet Azerbaijani alumni of US universities and to develop cooperation in the field of student exchange. Such programs make us closer to know each other”. Alina Romanowski highly appreciated the Council of Europe Conference of the Ministers responsible for Culture on the “Intercultural dialogue as a basis for peace and sustainable development in Europe and its neighboring regions”.
“The conference put the necessity of establishing of the intercultural dialogue on agenda and today the ministers of culture from the different countries get opportunity to come together and to exchange their opinions. This dialogue is very important and topical”. Alina Romanowski said she would visit the area allocated for the open air ethnographic-ethnology museum in Baku and research the prospects of cooperation in the building of this museum”.
