Baku-APA. Azerbaijani Foreign Minister Elmar Mammadyarov has today received Mohammad Yunis Ganuni, chairman of the National Assembly of Afghanistan. The Ministry’s press service said the guest stressed that the peoples of Azerbaijan and Afghanistan are bound by historical ties of friendship.
He expressed gratitude for the participation of Azerbaijani peacekeepers in peacekeeping operations in Afghanistan.
Elmar Mammadyarov informed him about acts of terrorism by Armenians against Azerbaijan and stressed the importance of a unified front against terrorism.
At the meeting the sides discussed prospects for the development of relations and processes in the Middle East and the South Caucasus.
