President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev visits Saparmurad Turkmenbashi mausoleum

Baku -APA. President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev visited Gipchag settlement of Akhal Region of Turkmenistan within his official visit to this country and visited the mausoleum where Turkmenistanâ€™s first president Saparmurad Turkmenbasji and his family members were buried. The wreath of flowers was laid in the mausoleum on behalf of the Azerbaijani president, press service of the President told APA.
President Aliyev was informed that Saparmurad Turkmenbashi, his parents and two brothers were buried in the mausoleum. Turkmenbashiâ€™s father was killed during the World War II and his mother and brothers were killed by the earthquake in Ashgabad in 1948.

President Aliyev visited the Turkmenbashi Mosque nearby.

Then the head of state visited the Monument of Independence of Turkmenistan on Friday. He laid wreath of flowers before the monument and planted a tree in the Alley of Honorable Guests.

Then Azerbaijani leader visited the Saparamurad Turkmenbashi National Cultural Center and looked at the museum of the first president of Turkmenistan. President Aliyev was informed that the National Cultural Center was opened last February and there are museum, concert hall and national library in the museum.
Azerbaijani president looked at the exhibits of the museum and made note in the Book of Memory.
