Spanish FM: I believe we are much closer to resolving Nagorno-Karabakh problem

You know, as Foreign Minister of Spain, I also held the presidency of the OSCE. During my tenure, we took some steps towards resolving the conflict,â€ said Miguel Angel Moratinos Spanish Foreign Minister, new Chairman of the Committee of Ministers of the Council of Europe in reply to APAâ€™s correspondentâ€™s question about the priorities of Spain towards the South Caucasus, in particular the settlement of the Armenian-Azerbaijani conflict.
According to him, Spain can assist in facilitating the settlement process, renewing the dialogue and creating an environment of mutual trust during the presidency of the CoE Committee of Ministers.
â€œWe want and wish to achieve this. I believe that today we are much closer to resolving the conflict ever than before. We will spare no effort to create the appropriate political and diplomatic atmosphere. I urge both sides to maintain the desire to dialogue to find solutions to the problem,â€ he added.

Miguel Angel Moratines also said that a conference to be held in Baku in early December will be the first event during the presidency of Spain.
â€œThis conference will create good conditions for joint work,â€ he added.
