Activist of movement for Iranian Azerbaijanis’ rights bailed out

Activist of the movement for the rights of Iranian Azerbaijanis Sirus Huseynnejad has been bailed out/ press service of the World Azerbaijanis Congress told APA that Sirus Huseynnejad was detained during the confrontation between Iranian Ministry of Intelligence and National Security (ETTELAAT) employees and the Azerbaijanis commemorating the 94th anniversary of the death of Settarkhan, leader of Constitutional Revolution on November 13. Sirus Huseynnejad was accused of violating public order and stirring up national enmity.

Student of Tehran Azadi University Sirus Huseynnejad had been detained by Iranian law-enforcement bodies several times. In 2006 he was arrested for joining the actions protesting against the publication of caricature insulting Azerbaijani Turks in “Iran” newspaper. He was arrested together with Azerbaijani human rights defender on September 10 this year.
