Ogtay Asadov receives delegation led by U.S. Agency for International Development Administrator

Baku. Elbrus Seyfullayev â€“ APA. Speaker of Azerbaijani parliament Ogtay Asadov received the delegation led by U.S. Agency for International Development (USAID) Administrator Henrietta H. Fore. The parliamentâ€™s press service told APA that Ogtay Asadov said Azerbaijani parliament had close ties with the legislative bodies of various countries. Speaker said the parliament cooperated with the USAID and implemented joint projects.

Henrietta H. Fore gave detailed information to the speaker about the projects implemented with the support of the USAID. Following this, ceremony was held to present training certificates to the parliamentariansâ€™ assistants within the framework of the joint project implemented by the USAID and the parliament. It was noted that 26 parliamentariansâ€™ assistants successfully finishing the trainings would receive certificates.

USAID representative Madeline Marcesolt said $284 million assistance had been offered to Azerbaijan within the framework of USAID program.
