Amnesty International makes a statement on arrested Azerbaijani Human Rights Defenders

Baku. Ramil Mammadli-APA. Amnesty International made a statement on arrested Azerbaijani Human Rights Defenders Alirza Sarrafi, Hasan Rashidi, Said Muganli and Mehdi Naimi, APA reports quoting website of the organization.
The report condemns the arrest of above-mentioned persons on September 20 and release of them in exchange for $ 250.000 on November 8.
“These activists are accused of causing damage to national security. Investigation process on them has not been publicized,” said in the report.
They are held in one-man cells in 209 section of Evin prison under pressure. They were not provided with lawyers and banned to meet and contact with families. Alirza went on hunger strike as well,” noted in the report.
The document envisages the organization’s control over the developments related to Azerbaijani Human Rights Defenders.
