The participants of the event first laid wreath in front of Mirza Fatali Akhundov’s monument and visited the late President Heydar Aliyev’s grave. Following this, press conference was organized for the mass media. Culture and Tourism Minister Abulfas Garayev said that the festival will create conditions for young producers. The minister said the festival shows that theater exists and develops in Azerbaijan.
The minister said noted that the theaters representing different regions of Azerbaijan participate in the festival and 15 young producers attend it. Following this, the opening ceremony of the Festival was held. State Puppet Theater named after Abdulla Shaig demonstrated “Aladdin� performance.
The festival will last until March 17 and three performances will be demonstrated within a day. /APA/
