Swedish ambassador’s diplomatic mission in Azerbaijan comes to an end

On June 18, Azerbaijan’s Minister of Foreign Affairs Jeyhun Bayramov received Tobias Lorentzson, Ambassador of the Kingdom of Sweden to the Republic of Azerbaijan, on the occasion of the completion of his diplomatic mission in the country, the Foreign Ministry told APA.

During the meeting, the sides discussed cooperation between Azerbaijan and Sweden in the fields of political dialogue, economy, trade, humanitarian affairs, and education.

The parties emphasized the importance of further developing bilateral relations and maintaining mutual visits and contacts.

Minister Jeyhun Bayramov expressed satisfaction with the development of relations between the two countries and thanked the ambassador for his efforts in this regard. He highly appreciated Ambassador Tobias Lorentzson’s contribution to the development of Azerbaijan-Sweden relations during his tenure and wished him success in his future activities.

The meeting also included an exchange of views on the regional situation, the Azerbaijan-Armenia normalization process, reconstruction and rehabilitation efforts in the post-conflict period, as well as other issues of mutual interest.

Ambassador Tobias Lorentzson expressed gratitude for the support provided during his service in Azerbaijan.
