The United States expects the final agreement with Iran to include a ban on the development of missiles capable of posing a broad threat to other countries, said US Vice President J.D. Vance at a press conference at the White House, APA reports.
"We've destroyed a significant number of their ballistic missiles and launchers. That's not just the missiles themselves, but also the launch vehicles. However, as part of the final deal, we expect them to be unable to develop missiles that could pose a broad threat to the world," Vance said.
According to him, the US is not demanding that Iran completely renounce its right to self-defense, nor is it making such demands of Israel. However, Washington intends to ensure that Tehran is unable to restore its nuclear potential. Vance asserts that Iran's nuclear program has been destroyed, and the primary objective now is to prevent the country from reviving these capabilities in the future.
