APA reports that the draft document was read by Milli Mejlis Vice-Speaker Bahar Muradova.

The document says that the resolution adopted by the European Parliament didn’t contribute to the development of bilateral relations, on the contrary, showed preconceived position damaging the relations.

The draft document was put to vote and adopted.

The document says that the government of Azerbaijan regrets and is concerned about this resolution. Urgent adoption of the resolution with the participation of 56 deputies is against the spirit of constructive cooperation. It also says that Azerbaijan is carrying out purposeful work toward the development of democracy and last year Euronest Parliamentary Assembly was established for the development of cooperation between Azerbaijan and European Parliament. “However the adopted resolution makes the cooperation between Azerbaijan and this organization useless”, the document reads.

Milli Mejlis considers the European Parliament’s resolution as a preconceived action against Azerbaijan.

The decision of the Azerbaijani parliament will be sent to the deputies who didn’t attend the European Parliament’s meeting where the above-mentioned resolution was adopted.
