Azerbaijani flag raised outside Toronto City Hall â€“ <font color=red>PHOTO </font>

Baku â€“ APA. The ceremony of raising of Azerbaijani flag was held on the Day of Republic outside the Toronto City Hall. Azerbaijani embassy in Canada told APA that the event was organized at the initiative of Azerbaijani Student Association at the University of Toronto and Azerbaijani Youth of Canada Network.

Head of Azerbaijani Student Association at the University of Toronto Isgandar Ganizadeh spoke about the history of the Azerbaijani Democratic Republic. Then the Azerbaijani flag was raised.

Then a forum was held in the Toronto University with participation of Azerbaijani communityâ€™s members. The forum focused on activity and future events of Azerbaijani community, including Azerbaijani Youth of Canada Network functioning in Canada.

National Day of Azerbaijan was declared in Vancouver by the decision of Vancouver Mayor Gregor Robertson passed on May 28, 2012. The ceremony of raising of Azerbaijani flag was held in Vancouver which was attended by several officials of British Columbia.

The ceremonies of raising of Azerbaijani flag were also held in Calgary and Ottawa cities too.
