Baku-APA. The Embassy of Azerbaijan in Vienna has organized an official banquet to mark the country`s public holiday - Republic Day.
The banquet was attended by officials, members of the diplomatic corps accredited to Vienna, representatives of international organizations, businessmen and Azerbaijanis living in the city.
Addressing the event Azerbaijani ambassador Galib Israfilov spoke of the history of the Azerbaijan Democratic Republic.
Speaking at the event former chairman of the Austrian Supreme Court Johann Reshut congratulated the Azerbaijani people on the public holiday. He said Austria and Azerbaijan had a lot in common.
The participants at the event saw the final of the Eurovision-2012 song contest.
