Queen of Great Britain and Northern Ireland and President of the People’s Republic of China send congratulatory letter to Azerbaijani President

APA reports that the letter reads: â€œIt gives me great pleasure to send Your Excellency my congratulations on the celebration of your National Day, together with my best wishes for the happiness and prosperity of the Government and people of Azerbaijan in the coming year.â€

President of the People’s Republic of China Hu Jintao also congratulated President Ilham Aliyev on Republic Day. His letter reads: â€œOn behalf of the Government, people of the Peopleâ€™s Republic of China and on my own, I convey to Your Excellency, the Government and the friendly people of Azerbaijan my sincere congratulations and best wishes on the occasion of Azerbaijan’s national holiday â€“ the Republic Day.

Over the 20 years of independence under the leadership of nationwide leader Heydar Aliyev and Your Excellency, Azerbaijan has made great strides in nation building.

We are very pleased to observe public and political stability in Azerbaijan, the dynamic development of its economy, the prosperous life of your people and the constant improvement of the international status of your country. I am confident that under Your Excellency’s leadership the people of Azerbaijan will constantly achieve new successes in the development of your country.

Azerbaijan is a sincere friend and partner of China. China attaches great importance to the development of relations with Azerbaijan. Great progress has been made in Chinese-Azerbaijani relations in the 20 years of diplomatic relations between our countries. Both sides have maintained close ties at the highest level, continuously strengthened mutual understanding and confidence, gradually expanded business cooperation in all areas and stepped up humanitarian exchanges. Our countries have been fruitfully cooperating within the UN and other international organizations. On the occasion of the 20th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between our countries I declare that the Chinese side is ready to strengthen political confidence with Azerbaijan, deepen the mutually beneficial cooperation in trade, economic and other areas and further promote Chinese-Azerbaijani relations of friendship and cooperation.
