Baku. Victoria Dementieva-APA. "Azerbaijan is one of the safest countries in the region. Cooperation between Azerbaijan and Interpol is at the high level, the Secretary General of Interpol Ronald Noble told APA. .

R. Noble noted that he has paid visits to Azerbaijan since 2003 and from that time actively cooperates with the Ministry of Interior and the police.

He praised Azerbaijan for undertaken safety measures and underlined the professionalism of the Minister of Internal Affairs of Azerbaijan.
"One of the most important challenges at regional and international security, is the identification of foreigners coming to your country, or through your country. In this regard, Azerbaijan uses necessary means and technical equipments to determine foreign citizens coming into the country, if they have original documents and they are not wanted by Interpol. Such security measures in Azerbaijan are strong ", said the Secretary General of Interpol.
"The country is doing everything to protect its citizens and visitors from terrorism,"he added.
