He expressed his regret about this incident: “Thousands of people arrive in Azerbaijan from Iran everyday. How can it be if we look at them as spy?! I think about the feelings of the two young poets’ parentsâ€.
Hasanov said that the mass media of Azerbaijan took a passive position on this issue: “The campaign about the arrest of two young poets is not one thousandth of the campaign conducted by the mass media of Azerbaijan on the arrest of Anar Bayramli.â€
Elman Abdullayev said that Azerbaijan’s diplomatic mission in Iran keeps contact with the Iranian side on this issue everyday: “But the Iranian side has not officially responded the fact on detention of the Azerbaijan’s citizens. The contacts on this issue will be continued at a high level.â€
