Azerbaijan and Georgia reached agreement on unobstructed access of Georgian pilgrims to David Gareji monastery complex

Baku. Victoria Dementieva – APA. Georgian citizens and foreign tourists will be allowed to visit David Gareji monastery complex without any obstacles, said Official representative of the Georgian Interior Ministry Shota Utiashvili, APA reports quoting “Vzglyad”.

According to him, as by agreement between Azerbaijani and Georgian presidents, the border services of both countries held a meeting and reached relevant agreement, which will be effective till the end of the process of delimitation and demarcation of the state borders of both countries. The Georgian side took responsibility that the citizens, who will visit Azerbaijani part of the monastery, will not move till the inside of Azerbaijani territories.

One of the main subjects of discussion at Chicago meeting between the Azerbaijani and Georgian presidents was the situation on David Gareji monastery complex.
