Baku-APA. The delegation of Azerbaijan took part at a reception organized by the British Queen Elizabeth II, APA reports quoting European Azerbaijan Society.

The event was attended by the head of the Azerbaijani delegation, President of the Azerbaijani Equestrian Federation, Elchin Guliyev, the Ambassador Fakhraddin Gurbanov and chairman of the Europe-Azerbaijan Society Taleh Heydarov.

Members of the Azerbaijani delegation thanked the queen for inviting them to this solemn meeting. They gave the queen a memorable gift related to Azerbaijan.

Azerbaijani dancers, riders and representatives of national arts and culture attended at the event and Azerbaijani Karabakh breed horses presented.

The participation of the Azerbaijani delegation was organized with the support of the Equestrian Federation, the Ministry of Culture and Tourism and the European Azerbaijan Society.

At a meeting devoted to 60th anniversary of the coronation of Elizabeth II, attended by delegations from India, Russia, Oman, Italy, Canada and other countries, as well as over one thousand dancers, 550 horses.

Note that the anniversary celebrations are held in all parts of the United Kingdom and around the world.

Location of the ceremony near Windsor Castle UK visited by tens of thousands of local residents.

As part of this event, only Azerbaijan and Oman have established pavilions, reflecting the national culture and history. Participants in these halls can learn the history, culture and cuisine of Azerbaijan. In the hands of participants meeting the book "60 Years Around the World", which is dedicated to the 60th of Elizabeth II, has a section devoted to Azerbaijan.

Interestingly, in 1956 the Soviet leadership gave the British Queen Karabakh horse named Zaman. Narrated by Queen of the famous horse rider Azeri Ali Tagiyev. After 56 years of Karabakh horses participating in races again monitored by the British Queen. Among the riders was the grandson of Ali Jamal Tagiyev.

Equestrian Federation of Azerbaijan intends to publish a photo album dedicated to the participation of Karabakh horses at the event.
